Dracula

Jonathan Harker, a young English solicitor, travels to Transylvania to assist the mysterious Count Dracula with a real estate transaction. Jonathan soon realizes he is a prisoner in Dracula’s castle and that the Count is a centuries-old vampire preparing to move to England to spread his undead curse.

The novel explores themes of fear, sexuality, modernity vs. superstition, invasion, and the battle between good and evil, establishing many of the vampire tropes still used today.
